Rusada Inaugurates New Development Centre in Chennai and Plans Six-fold Staff Increase in India

Chennai, India, 24th June 2010 - Rusada SA, a leading provider of complex asset management software to the aerospace industry, this week inaugurates its new offices in Chennai, India. Providing home to the company's new Software Development Centre, the offices are located at the KG 360 IT Business Park on the Old Mahabalipuram Road in Chennai, known as the 'IT Corridor'. The premises were officially opened by the company?s Chief Executive Officer, Cameron Hood, who flew in especially from Switzerland, to congratulate staff and conduct the opening ceremony.

Cameron Hood, Chief Executive of Rusada SA, commented: "This is a very special week for Rusada with the opening of our new Chennai Development Centre. Our India team and the Centre will play a key role in the company's global expansion plans and the future of Rusada, enabling the further extension of our development capacity.

"Over the coming 18 months we expect the team to grow to over 175 staff in these new premises. India is a key addition to the software capability of our organisation".

Rusada first established operations in India in June 2009, opening offices with just nine people. The new premises opened this week now house almost 30 Rusada employees and Rusada is set to expand its operations still further over the coming year, increasing its Chennai operations to house an eventual team of 175 locally recruited development staff.

"Our original challenge a year ago was to extend the product capability offered by Rusada's Polish Development Centre and increase our development capacity quickly, but at a reasonable cost," explained Cameron Hood. "India is a proven base for software skills and since Chennai is viewed as being the new up and coming technical centre of India, it was the sensible and logical choice for the location of Rusada's new Development Centre".

The original Rusada offices were located in the Regus Centre in Chennai, selected for the speed with which Rusada could establish its Indian business operations. One year later, as Rusada continued to grow, the decision was made to move to a larger dedicated office, providing not only a good working environment for its current and expanding workforce, but also to cater for the company's future expansion plans.

Headquartered in Vevey, Switzerland, with a 115-strong workforce, Rusada is a leading providing of comprehensive aircraft maintenance and engineering software, providing aircraft operators, OEMs, MROs and other service organisations with a technically and functionally rich automated asset management capability to enable them to manage and optimise all the operational divisions of their business through one, single integrated solution.
