Switzerland, 4th May 2010, Rusada SA, a leading provider of complex asset management software to the aerospace industry, makes its show debut this week at the Airline Purchasing and Maintenance Expo (5-6th May, 2010) on Stand R10 at London’s Olympia. Showcasing the Rusada solution for Operators, MROs and OEMs, Rusada will be highlighting how its software enables aviation organisations to manage all the operational divisions of their business and at the same time gain insights, through the use of the data, to enable them to improve efficiencies by optimising asset utilisation and realising cost benefits.
"The last 18 months have been exceptionally challenging for the airline industry and the recent unprecedented closure of European airspace due to volcanic ash from Iceland only places more pressure on European operators," highlighted Rusada CEO, Cameron Hood.
"Operators around the world are even more focussed on scrutinising their costs: operations departments want to know how much a scheduled flight costs, what the fuel burn is per sector, per hour and how they can increase their operational efficiency. Our software provides the management capability and decision support to help airline operators achieve this and realise the value of their assets."
Rusada will be demonstrating how its solution is able to capture all the pertinent data of an organisation by underpinning the major business processes, and using that data provide decision support information for management. As a result, airlines and MROs are able to achieve increased aircraft availability and deliver cost reductions through efficiency derived from taking action on new insights.
The chosen supplier for a number of leading airline operators, Rusada boasts over 50 major aviation clients worldwide currently employing its solution. Airlines such as Air Arabia, the leading low fare operator in the Middle East and North Africa with its 21-strong Airbus A320 fleet, claims it has recouped the investment in the Rusada system “within six months” thanks to an integrated IT solution that: "not only enables us to manage our fleet, but also facilitates greater sharing of information and data across our business," explained Mohammed Al Kassimi.
"It has helped to optimise our overall operations, create cost savings and increase our fleet availability too," he concluded. Through consistent analysis of fuel uplift, Air Arabia makes informed decisions on fuel prices with its suppliers and avoids duplicate payments to vendors, resulting in a 0.5% reduction in their fuel bills.
V Australia, Australia's newest International airline also turned to Rusada to provide vitally important collaboration and sharing of data with their Maintenance and Repair Organisation (MRO), SIAEC (SIA Engineering Company). Working in collaboration with SIAEC (also a Rusada customer) they use the system from their respective sites to manage V Australia’s fleet of Boeing 777s to control maintenance, logistics and fleet technical management. As a result, real cost benefits have been achieved through the optimisation of resources and resulting increased operational efficiency.
Expanding domestic low fare airline SpiceJet of India also selected Rusada to ensure it had an integrated IT solution with the flexibility and scalability to grow its business.
