As part of Rusada’s continuing expansion programme, we have created an exciting opportunity for an Application Support Engineer to work in our Oxfordshire based office.

You will be responsible for supporting users of web and client/server based applications used in the aviation industry. This involves diagnosing application issues, managing hosted environments, and analysing data within a SQL database to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Alongside your existing experience of working in an Application Support role, you will be working closely with colleagues in support, development and training to develop an in-depth comprehensive knowledge of the Rusada software.

Some travel to Rusada’s worldwide customer base will be required, so if you are a graduate with a genuine interest in aviation and helping customers get the most from our products, then this is the role for you.

  • Two years’ experience in an Application Support role
  • Good understanding of SQL server data analysis
  • Strong business and customer-facing skills with the ability to build and maintain working relationships with customers at all levels
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced customer support environment
  • Understanding of SaaS web/application transactional systems
  • Proactive ‘Can-Do’ approach
  • Systematic and disciplined problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to identify and diagnose issues quickly to apply fixes or workarounds, minimising business impact.
  • Proactively contribute knowledge and expertise to colleagues & customers.
  • Ability to learn quickly and desire to develop knowledge
  • Graduate with Computer related degree with 2 years’ post qualifying experience in an application support environment.
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2012/14 or extensive knowledge of T-SQL
  • Experience of Remote Access methods (VPN, RDP, Cisco, Citrix)
  • Aviation/Logistics/Production experience an advantage
  • Knowledge of IIS an advantage
  • Knowledge of JavaScript an advantage

Rusada is in a strong position but has not fully grasped the commercial opportunities that exist globally. The firm is scaling up its sales capabilities, and plans to substantially increase its global sales team as we head in to 2018.

The individual will need to drive a clear international sales strategy, in particular to increase the number of Tier 2 airline accounts.

The key responsibilities can therefore be summarised as follows;

  • Contribute as part of the growing sales team
  • Develop and execute an international sales and account management strategy
  • Personally initiate, develop and secure key accounts, particularly tier 2 airlines.
  • Extensive international sales experience from the software sector
  • Experience of winning and managing customers in the aviation sector is a preferred option
  • Experience of securing “mid-ticket” software deals, i.e. contract values of approximately £250,000 – 5,000,000.
  • A good track record of leading, developing and improving sales
  • Driven and self-motivated
  • A natural collaborator and networker
  • Able to operate effectively in a small, fast-growth company environment

This role will cover a number of pre-sales activities including (but not limited to) to:-

  • Responding to RFP documents.
  • Visiting opportunities with the objective of understanding their pain points and match the requirements against nGen functionality.
  • Provide high level nGen product demonstrations.
  • Providing detailed demonstrations of the nGen functionality at customer sites.
  • Answer detailed functionality questions as required.
  • Manage customer workshops where relevant.
  • Participate in industry conferences and exhibitions
